The Grounds Maintenance Unit at Municipal Engineering is currently responsible for the operation and maintenance of public spaces throughout Malmö on behalf of the Property and Street Office, as well as the operation and maintenance of parts of private plots in the city on behalf of City Properties. The unit's combined tasks include, among other things, emptying trash bins, litter picking, weed control, street sweeping, pruning bushes and trees, and planting. The unit also has its own greenhouse where we propagate annuals and are responsible for planting Malmö City's flower program.

We are now looking for a Team Leader for one of the unit's cleaning groups.

Responsibilities

As a Team Leader, you plan, develop, and lead the work for your group consisting of approximately 10–15 employees.

Together with the work group, you perform supervision, manage, and develop the city's cleaning services on municipal surfaces.

You have a trust-based approach to work, which permeates all parts of the assignment. You have personnel and occupational health and safety responsibility for the employees in your group, and you report to the Section Manager, who is part of the Grounds Maintenance management group. You also participate in the implementation of processes and the continuous development of the operations.

Your tasks are both administrative and operational. Through the partnership with the Property and Street Office, you prioritize and plan maintenance work together with the aim of developing the city.

In addition to team leadership, the daily work includes handling incoming feedback and fault reports, acting as a knowledge resource in various projects, working on documentation, invoicing, economic follow-up, and developing employees within the cleaning group.

Qualifications

We are looking for you who have:

• A completed upper secondary education
• Documented leadership experience
• Good administrative skills
• Good knowledge of the Swedish language, both spoken and written
• Good knowledge of the Office package and computer literacy
• Category B driver's license

The Grounds Maintenance Unit belongs to the Municipal Engineering division within the Service Administration. We work for a well-functioning urban environment and offer locally environmentally adapted and economically efficient holistic solutions for operation, maintenance, care, readiness, and technical service within streets, parks, and buildings.

The Service Administration is divided into five divisions and offers everything from transport services for people with disabilities to IT, as well as responding to citizens in Malmö City's contact center. We maintain streets, parks, green areas, and beaches, manage all of Malmö City's buildings, and ensure that our schoolchildren receive good and nutritious meals.
